Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of covalent-research.com and any purchase of materials from Covalent Research Labs (“Covalent”, “we”, “us”). By accessing the site, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

You must be at least 21 years of age and acting as, or on behalf of, a qualified researcher, laboratory, research clinic or institution. By using the site you represent that you meet those requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

All materials sold on this site are supplied exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research by qualified personnel. They are not drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics or food, and they are not intended for:

• Human consumption or administration of any kind
• Veterinary or other animal use
• Cosmetic or topical application
• Dietary, diagnostic or therapeutic purposes

Purchasing or using any material in a manner inconsistent with this restriction is a breach of these terms. We may refuse, cancel or limit any order, and close any account, where we believe materials are intended for a prohibited use.

Covalent is not a pharmacy, compounder, medical provider or clinical laboratory. Nothing on this site — including product descriptions, the science pages, analytical documentation and the AI assistant — is medical advice, a treatment recommendation, or dosing, reconstitution or administration guidance for human or animal use, and none of it should be interpreted that way. Statements on this site have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

An account is required to place an order; we do not offer guest checkout. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, whether you sign in with email and password or with Google. Notify us immediately at support@covalent-research.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation. Accounts are for the individual or organisation that created them and may not be shared, sold or transferred.

All orders are offers to purchase and are subject to our acceptance. Prices, specifications and availability are subject to change without notice, and we reserve the right to correct pricing or description errors and to cancel affected orders even after an order confirmation is issued. Where a cancelled order has been charged, we will refund it.

You are the importer or purchaser of record and are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties and permits. Title and risk of loss pass on delivery to the carrier.

Because of the nature of research materials and the impossibility of verifying storage and handling once a shipment leaves our control, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges and we do not issue refunds for change of mind, ordering error or unused product.

Shipments that arrive damaged, incorrect or short must be reported with photographs within 7 days of delivery and are handled under our shipping policy; verified fulfilment or transit issues will be replaced or credited at our discretion.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your purchase, receipt, storage, handling, use and disposal of materials complies with your institutional research protocols and with all applicable local, state, federal and international laws and regulations, including any licensing, controlled-substance and export-control requirements that apply to you. You will handle all materials as potentially hazardous, using appropriate facilities, training and protective equipment.

You agree not to misuse the site — including by attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours, probing or interfering with the site's security or infrastructure, scraping content at scale, reselling or misrepresenting our materials, or submitting false information.

The AI assistant is provided for general informational convenience only. Its responses are generated automatically, may be incomplete or wrong, and are not a substitute for our published documentation or your own verification. Do not rely on it for compliance, safety or handling decisions, and do not enter personal health information into it.

The site and its content — including text, product photography and renders, video, layout, graphics, logos, the Covalent Research Labs name and the tagline “Research. Precision. Innovation.” — are owned by Covalent or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from them without our written permission, except for ordinary personal use of the site in the course of purchasing.

Except for the certificate-of-analysis specifications published for a given lot, the site and all materials are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or suitability for any research application. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Covalent and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, personal injury or property damage arising out of or relating to the site or any material purchased, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific material giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those exclusions apply only to the extent permitted.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Covalent and its officers, employees and suppliers from any claim, loss, liability, damage, fine or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the site, your breach of these terms, your handling or use of materials, or any use of materials in a manner prohibited by these terms — including any human or animal administration.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises.

We may revise these terms at any time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and our shipping policy, are the entire agreement between us.
